Me, too. I'm given the option of trying their new format, but I always decline. Maybe they're slowing phasing in the new format, giving some users an option and others none until they unilaterally change it forever. Like the Facebook "timeline," if you're familiar with that mess.

I, too, hate the new version. However, I was given the option of sticking with the old version, so that's what I did. For once I lucked out!!

I prefer the new layout. I think it looks nicer and is easier to navigate. As far as the links hover over the little picture and click on the gear icon then the links item. Or click on the picture to get a bigger image and all the links are to the right of the picture.

I wish I had been given a choice. I definitely would have stayed with the old system. It seems a lot of people got to choose but I never did. I wrote a comment to them on their contact page but have never heard back from them.

I like the new upload feature of VB v.4 - no more outside photo hosting source needed. I used to host my forum-post images on one of my own servers but it is so much more convenient to upload in place. People without that capability need(ed) to use a provider like Photobucket or Flicker.
The Photobucket change may have been prompted by the need to serve a few additional advertisements. They offer a nice service for "free" - so some funds must be raised [somehow] to pay for the infrastructure, the bandwidth and yes, even a profit.

Me too. It seems to run much slower now.

In addition, when you're putting up your post, if you are in WYSIWYG mode (top left button on the options bar) you can double-click on the picture to control whether you want it to appear in your post as small, medium, or large, and whether it should be centered, left, or right justified, along with a few other little options.
For som e reason I'm not able to see any of these photo links that people include in the text of their posts, I get a message from X-Marks saying it could be due to any of several different reasons.

Here is a response I just got from Photobucket. Note the final line in their response. It talks of "getting back" to the new site. I can't get away from the new site, I want to get back to the old site.

Thank you for taking the time to test out the new Photobucket.com and provide feedback.
We understand how a complete redesign can be overwhelming and take some getting used to.
We are taking all user feedback and ideas into consideration, and will continue to make changes to improve the site. We will be updating the site as new features and functions are ready, so keep an eye out for new things to come....
If at anytime you want to get back to the new site, simply click the try it now button on this page: http://photobucket.com/betaoptin/index?src=support
