Placed an order for a Dress Gordon 5 yard this morning. Will be saving up for the new jacket and waistcoat in January.
Thanks all,
Jim

I have never seen Dale looking anything less than superbly attired which must have included some of Rockys 5 yarders so Dales recommendation would be good enough for me.

Wow! It's easy to tell what you are wearing, but what a neat outfit on your wife! I assume it also has some sort of heritage meaning. Can you clue us rabble in on it?
The church looks like some kind of orthodox church, but the priest or minister on the left looks like he doesn't belong there...
Great photo!

Casual shot, a warm autumn afternoon last year in my SO's front yard: USAK 5-yard 16-oz. wool Maple Leaf tartan among the maple leaves:
"It's all the same to me, war or peace,
I'm killed in the war or hung during peace."

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Superb shot and that mapleleaf tartan really blends with the autumnal colours. Thanks for posting that Dale.

Thanks all.
Now comes the Jonesing
Getting the plans in place. Checking out the packages ( they ain't cheap) and planning the travel. This will be our Anniversary/Bucket List trip for next year. We figure if we're going to do it, do it BIG. Mint julep and Derby pie.
Amy doesn't know it yet but one of her Christmas presents will be a new Derby worthy hat. She has one right now but she will need one for it, the Oaks and maybe a Derby party.

And good luck with that.
Just realized I do have a shot with another of Rocky's 5-yard wool kilts, this one in Douglas Grey and in a "dressier-looking" mode:
"It's all the same to me, war or peace,
I'm killed in the war or hung during peace."

My lovely wife is wearing a Lehenga Choli, an Indian wedding garment. There are no Indian ancestors in either of our family trees, she just chose it because, in her words, "It's my wedding and I'll wear what I want. Plus, I look terrible in white." It was custom made by Utsav , out of Jaipur, India, and it turned out to be quite a bit cheaper than my kilt! Utsav was great to work with, making modifications for modesty (the traditional choli has the midriff exposed), and adjusting the fit based on the dummy garment they sent out.
We got married in St. Mary's, a Romanian Orthdodox church, because our home parish is not big enough to hold all of the guests for the ceremony, never mind the reception (our hall is still under construction). It's funny you should say that the priest on the left looks out of place. That's Fr. Gabriel and St. Mary's is his church. He and his wife are from Romania, which might explain the Roman collar as opposed to the more traditional cassock. The priest on the right is Fr. Justin, our parish priest. He's the one who did the wedding ceremony.
