    1930's Vintage Regulation Doublet on ebay

    Yes the squared-off flaps are very interesting, you see those sometimes in 19th century doublets. But this Regulation Doublet has the more modern Prince Charlie-style lapels. My favourite doublets are the earlier ones with the smaller lapels, here seen in 1896

    Steve McVeigh of Bugpiper had a beautiful doublet of the above style on ebay recently.

    I saw that doublet earlier today and had a serious case of the Jonesing ..,. unfortunately i been about 8 more inches of materal through the shoulders to make that work. :-(
