Seriously sympathize, my friend. Got a few T-shirts from that trip, myself, everything from hand-knit hose on up. Betcha your pleat count and/or width went off track between measurement/planning and eventual execution, no surprise given the long-term nature of the project. Whatever the cause, the effect does really suck.
I'm with Usonian, you'll get better karma from selling it now, bask in the kudos from purchaser and admirers.

I've decided to keep it, figuring that it will fit in a couple of years. Now, on to a couple of other projects that have been on the shelf. I finished one this past weekend, by finishing the sunbrella cover for my boat!
