another question for hamish
nice black UK.
when did you buy it?
the material seems to be different today than it was a few years ago.
looks wrinkly now , from the photos on their site.
doesn't look that way in your photo.
what is it made of?
thanx

Hi Phil,
I bought that Black, NeoTrad, Original UK back in December 2001.
Yes, I believe the fabrics used now are rather different - maybe, in those days, Utilikilts were still using the ends of other peoples' fabric production runs! If I remember correctly, it was a little softer than the same model appears today, although it was a poly-cotton (perhaps more cotton than poly!)
That pic was taken in Nov 2002 so, by then, the kilt had also received a washing or two!
Perhaps it was not fair of me to post that pic in the Utilikilts Photo Gallery after all this time, but I felt that it is still representative of their really great kilts.

Hello Ham,
I was looking at some of your pictures and noticed that you had on red kilt hose. I have been unable to find red and I was wondering where you got them. I can find red socks but not kilt hose. Any help would be appreciated. You can contact me at billaugustine@wideopenwest.com or leave a message here.
Sincerely,
Bill Augustine

Bill. I moved your question to the Kilt Accessories Forum. It is a better place for that question...
