If there can be only one, my favourite kilt is my Maple Leaf tartan. It isn't the best fitting or in the best shape because my dad bought it for me second hand, but it is my only tank. Swish and swing in my official, national tartan!

My girlfriend, however, likes my New World Irish tartan acrylic 7 yarder from the Frugal Corner because I designed the tartan myself and it was made to my measurements.

My Pakistani-made 13oz Black Watch is my favorite because of the craftsmanship and the fit. I bought it as an inexpensive working kilt for the Highland Games but because its pleating is superior to my Scottish-made Irish Province Munster casual, I can get much more wear out of it between dry cleanings. I love the color of my Munster but it wrinkles too quickly because it has too few pleats (17 vs 30). The Black Watch was 1/3 of the price which makes it even more dear to me.

I don't know if I have a single 'favorite' but based on frequency of wear it's the Texas Bluebonnet or the Ireland's National.

I would have to say my favorite kilt is the one I am wearing when asked that question
It seems no matter which kilt I wear, there is something special about it, when I am wearing it.

My Heatherfield tartan kilt made by the one and only Barb Tewksbury

I've seen a lot of wonderful tartans but this one is the most gorgeous I have ever come across. The fabric was given to me by its designer as a gift of friendship and it was crafted with amazing care by an expert kilt maker.

It is one of only two kilts in the world in this tartan and wearing it is like wearing a work of art.

    Cheers
