Still sore enough that I know it would kind of silly to lift hard, so I did some stretching, ab work, and 45 minutes on the mill while watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
I fart in your general direction.

A Kilted Lebowski--Taking it easy so you don't have to.
Took a little extra time this morning and took some video.
Heavy bench, jump squats, weighted chin-ups and power cleans. Going to get some throwing practice this weekend and crush them into a single video Sunday night or Monday morning.

Took a wonderful day trip with my family during the weekend, got the house cleaned up and ready for out-of-town guests, but did nothing in the way of this log or my physical condition. Was focused soley on my mental condition, and I'm quite okay with that.

Nice. I have to remember to bring my tripod on Wednesday....will video my hang cleans.

I find that if I take care of either of my halves (body and mind) exclusively and neglect the other one, I am unwell. I am much improved by listening to what part of me says it needs attention and being nice to myself; pushing myself only where I can handle it.
It's also the difference between being able to stick with something and giving up on it after the first month or so. Strange that after all the hell I've given myself for not doing better or being more awesome, the strategy that finally works is just backing the hell off and cutting myself some slack. *boggles*

DING!
After nearly 38 years, I find I still need occasional re-education when it comes to that.
This week at work is BUSY! We get 10 days off at the end/beginning of the year, but need to get the same amount done in the month. Went in this morning at 7 and I'll probably be here until 10. Even so, I successfully crammed some lifting in, burning through 4 movements by alternating sets with no break (except for the time it took to add/remove plates).
Flat bench and dumbbell rows-- hit 275 3 reps in one set on bench. Would have tried for 4, but no spotter.
Squats and overhead press. Nice, easy 215 on squat sets, 135 on press. The weights were lighter than normal, but I was gassed and actually...sweaty. Might need to have an additional shower this week. Nah--one's enough.

We are getting dumped on right now! With snow. It started about 330 am where I live, so I did a couple miles on the mill and 2 sets of shoveling. I know why it kills the elderly sometimes--good activity for getting the heart rate up!

Worked bench first today so I could try for a PR. I've been seeing everybody else doing that, so I wanted to be cool, too. Some warm-up sets with 185 and 215. Then, with a little something special for RAF:
Don't know if I'm getting stronger or braver or more foolhardy, but there it is. Quite pleased with myself, I am.
Landmines--3x10x35+bar Usually put these at the end and sometimes run out of time. Not today.
Unweighted Chin-ups--26, 20, 15
Light Squats- 3 sets at 225 Going deep, pushing fast
Shugs+Calf raises--2xfailurex225
A good morning.
