Both my sons were home for Christmas and we had a great day. After opening presents with the family in the morning I took advantage of having their strong young backs at my command again and we repaired an old bridge across the creek here. This involved lots of banter and impertinent questioning of my engineering skills and one tumble into the icy waters. On the way back to the house we harvested some hickory bark which went in the BBQ with the turkey and then dressed for dinner.

Kilted Dixon, you might have considered the snow a "real treat" but it doesn't look as though your pup feels the same way about it.

After a warm, yummy morning we went for a walk before heading off to my mother's house an hour away. This is my son, wife, new pup Grommit and me.

Absolutely David, the MacTavish/Thompson Hunting really stands out and is becoming a very popular tartan. Your kilt looks fantastic by the way. (sorry all for my tripple posted pic...)

Great bunch of photos in the thread but the combination of the Maple Leaf tartan and that sporran is great. My New Year's resolution is to get a Maple Leaf tartan kilt in 2013 hehe.

Snow does not happen very often in North Texas. Christmas Day was a real treat this year.

The pooch doesn't look like it's diggin' it!

You know at first I wasn't fond of the Maple Leaf tartan but the more I see it the more I like it and as a Canadian I really should have one. At least that's the argument I'm going to start with for SWMBO
I'm just trying to be the person my dog thinks I am.
