Ed Miller's schedule has him performing elsewhere. Austin's Silver Thistle Pipes and Drums have nothing on their schedule. So far, it is a mystery in the Austin area. Looks like it will be a last minute surprise.

Drop Ed an e-mail; even though he is playing elsewhere, he may know of local Burns Nights, as I would bet he advertises for them on his radio show. I had the pleasure of working with Ed a couple of years at the Burns Night at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Central Texas Area Museum in Salado is having one on January 26, 2013 at 7pm.
Just checked their website (ctam-salado.org) which isn't showing it, but I received a newsletter about it a month ago. Of course, I deleted it too so I guess you would have to call them.

No, for a county named after a native born Scot, there isn't much excitement around here for that type of activity. Surprising with the community college mascot being a "Highlander."

Houston's Heather & Thistle Society is hosting its last Rabbie Burns Supper this January; so, I will be looking for a new venue.

CCK - if you care to venture a little further north, the Scottish Society of Dallas is hosting a Burns Night on January 26th.
