			My 4th Pittsburgh Kilt

I got another one from Pittsburgh Kilts about a month ago. This one's in Predator camouflage, with a few modifications.
First, I wanted a traditional-styled kilt with the buckles at the waist and hip, yet I wanted it to be machine-washable and easy-to-use. So I got them in military-style quick-release clips.

Second, I wanted a zipper in the under-apron pocket. Now I can sprint without losing my spare change.

After a month of use and washing, I can tell it's just as high-quality as my other PK kilts. I like this kiltmaker.

					Nice kilt UglyBear!
That underapron pocket would be really handy. Good thinking with the zipper.

UB great kilt, like the clips and the pattern, your against the wind pic reminded me of a day on scafell pike. I leaned into the wind till I was at 45 degrees to the floor with no danger of falling.Alaskan!!!?? can I believe my eyes, you want clips like those. I remember when you first posted with a very limited/traditional view of kilts, can a paisley pattern in chinese silk be in the offing

No, Rhino... I don't think I will be getting any paisly patterned kilts in Chinese silk. I still have a limited view of what I would call kilts, and I still don't have any interest in a non-tartan kilt, but I have come to understand the value of a machine washable kilt... and those clips are just so cool!
A poly/vis tartan kilt with clips like that would be great for the times when I need to wear a kilt I can throw in the washer.

Very Nice Kilt Looks Sarp. I have thought about a poscket like that but on the inside of the "inside appron" with just a zipper showing if the front appron was lifted.

Yeah, the clips are great. They're more adjustable than standard straps-'n'-buckles, and easier to use, too.

Originally Posted by Andrew UB, great Kilt! I think I might have to treat myself to a Kilt like that one of these days.
In this setup, however, they're not QUITE traditional. I'm talking about the buckle on the left waist. In a traditional kilt, the strap will stick through an eyehole in the waist, connecting the under-apron to the outer section. Getting a clip through the waist would require a pretty serious hole in the waist, one that might limit the life of the kilt.

So I cheated. The left-waist buckle sits on the outside of the kilt, and the area is held together by a series of hooks underneath. But it does have a side effect: the left-waist buckle performs like the extendable loop in a UK Workman's. Just snap it apart, extend it, and lock it onto something. It's a good place for me to hang my hat.

Thanks! Not too many people can tell when I'm smiling, but you seem to have a discerning eye.
