As a fresh face at the sport, I like all the hints and tips I can find. I'm definitely going the ‘do what feels right’ route. So I’m trying to work on weights in the gym, half large muscle groups and half focus work. I’m trying some plyo box jumping to develop some leg speed. I like the idea of lifting light and fast, and will want to put it into use come late March and April. Thanks for your words of experience and wisdom.

I encourage you to log your workouts. It's a serious motivational tool. However, obviously, there are several athletes on X Marks who don't log, so there you go.
There are a lot of throwers in Texas, so there's help to be had pretty much all over the State.
