If you guys are looking for the Maple Leaf tartan in the photo, please make sure your kiltmaker gets it from BATLEYS (mill). They're the one who have this particular color 'scheme' for the Maple Leaf. The same tartan from Lochcarron and HOE is much darker.

Rocky: Does BATLEYS (mill) have a web presence? I found a town in west Yorkshire and some shops in Edinburgh, but no woolen mill. I note that on your kilt ordering pages it is referred to as "NBat".

Quite right. Mine is Batley 16-oz fabric, and made by USAK.  It's really become my go-to "autumn kilt"!

A photo of me before heading out to dinner, champagne, etc. on New Year's Eve, with my neighbor's Bichon Frise looking on (I've been known to carry dog treats in my sporran). The Royal Stewart kilt is one of two recent purchases and although I had reservations about buying it (with apologies to Queen Elizabeth, I sort of thought it was too "common" a tartan) its bright red color makes it perfect for the Christmas season, and of course the ladies love, Love, LOVE it ("It's a Santa Kilt!") and I could hardly leave the restaurant that night because of all the compliments.
