In my experience every different manufacturer's haggis tastes different. It is one of those products that different people like differently. You can spend a small fortune and not like it, or spend next to nothing and love it.
If you have never tried it, take this tip. Have a bottle of ketchup and a bottle of barbecue sauce to hand. If things get bad - you can always camouflage the taste!
*** based on personal experience. My favorite of their canned offerings is the Highland Beef -- comes from hielan' coos rather than sheep, though they have the latter as well. I really find this one as good as any "made from scratch" haggis I've ever had, and I've had more than a few.
Which reminds me that I still have 3 cans left. I have a feeling that the dawn of Hogmanay will shine on only two.

I like their Haggis so much, I've signed up to be a distributor -- although we mainly use it as fundraisers...
