Next we moved on to Prince's Park where the days activities take place, including Highland heavy games, an athletics meeting culminating in the $8000.00 first prize Bendigo Bank Gift over 100 metres, a highland dance competition, bands and other assorted activites.
First up Llew met one of our good scottish friends Barry Grant who looks after the Grant clan tent at the Victorian games
Next up, Llew who was now on first name basis with the convening committee, wanted to see what this "Gift" race was all about, so he climbed up onto the finishing gate, just to see how far these blokes had to run
So after all the excitment of the morning and the fact it was past lunchtime Llew decided to have a wee nap on our friends bass drum,while the rest of us tucked into good food and beverage
