Hmmn. Well, I guess I have just been lucky. Obviously, being over here in England, I have had to order my Utilikilts, Amerikilts and Savannah Kilt on-line - without seeing the kilt or fabric first. That's a gamble one has to take when buying from suppliers worldwide - no matter what the merchandise. But my tartan kilts have been ordered at meetings face-to-face with the kiltmakers. I have been able to see samples of the fabric, to touch and feel them (the fabrics, not the kiltmakers
) and, as a result, I have never been disappointed when the garment has been delivered. The same goes for many of my plain kilts (especially "TFCK") - I saw and liked the fabric samples and had the kilts tailored. Several of the fabrics have never been made up into kilts either before or since.
