Watched the Christmas episode last night on line.
This drama is so watchable and well made but at the same time you are aware of how formulaic and superficial it is and I felt the "cliffhanger"could have had a bit more emotional impact - should have been reaching for a hankie! Roll on season 4 anyway.

Julian Fellowes, aka Lord Kilwillie, is pure genius!

He proved his writing ability with Gosford Park for which he won an Oscar.

I'm totally hooked on the series as well. Great television.
Season 3 started here last week. On again tomorrow night! Can't wait.

And, one can see Fellowes' Oscar by going to Season 4, Episode 1, Chapter 4 ("Game Keeper?") of "Monarch of the Glen". In the scene in which Kilwillie (Fellowes) goes into the library to talk with Molly it is holding up a lampshade.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
