Five years ago, when spending three days in hospital for varicose vein removals, I wore a Breacan all the time I was out of bed. In those days I had only a couple of 8 yard kilts, and thought a 4 yard Breacan would be more comfortable. I was right!
My surgeon and the nurses were fully agreed that kilts should be compulsory wear for guys undergoing any form of below the waist surgery!
