Heaven's no! CT you have a great family that clearly loves their Scottish connections. You even have a tartan that looks like Autumn in New England!

I have made an awful lot of friends through xmarks and have never met them in person.
Some years I do get to meet some at kilt camps or Highland games, and I have dear friends through that.
Riverkilt posts pictures of my old stompin' grounds and make me long for the desert skies again.
Zardoz makes me remember the days of my youth juggling at renn fairs.
English blokes pictures let me see more of the UK along with many others....oh and i always want to see more of Ancient Alliances house. There are so many of you out there, I could go on and on.
The kilt makers who haunt here are wonderful for advice and help, and it is so fun to be able to get enough info to try all kinds of projects.
your outfit looks great Tulloch. How is Grommett doing?

I guess I'm pretty lucky that my new wife (not that I have an old wife, mind you) actively encourages my kilt buying and wearing. She listens to me get excited about new ideas I have for crafting accessories and even wants me to take up the bagpipes. (sidenote; she plays the accordion, banjo, and ukelele - so it won't be the only annoying sound coming from under our roof!)

Serves my wife right for dragging me to the games at Maxville a few years ago.lol Actually she does like the look of me in a kilt, she just doesn't understand why I need more than one.ha ha Guys my age often go for sports cars and younger women. I'm into vintage motorcycles, kilts, bagpipes and I think I'll keep Mrs.Crash. Who else would have me?
I'm just trying to be the person my dog thinks I am.

Although my girlfriend is mystified about my interest in wearing kilts and not at all interested in going to Ren Fairs or Highland Games with me, she gives me more push back on the target shooting and reloading that I do. lol!!

It's like the old fashioned notion of pen-pals isn't it? We get to know people from all over the world who have similar interests and who are different from ourselves. What we have in common is the love of kilts/tartan and the love of learning.

Tulloch, I'm glad to hear that you and Grommit are best-of friends.
