Wow! That, sir, is a smashing kilt! I'm seeing sett-pleating more and more. I really dig it.

Thanks…I considered the various pleating options but decided to go with the more common civilian approach and had it pleated to the sett. I am very happy with the result.

I don't see problems with the length! I like kilts which reach to the middle of the knee. Often one observes shorter ones.

I hiked the kilt up a bit for the last photo. Otherwise it reaches the bottom of my knee which can tend to look a bit frumpy depending on how the kilt is accessorized.

Your gaiters go nicely with your kilt!

Thanks…and they keep the ensemble from looking to matchy-matchy. Now if I can just get OR to do gaiters in Lovat Blue or maybe Bison.

You climbing technique is most appropoe and modest. I bet the top rail was a bit chilly though?

I did not linger on top of the gate. For some reason the image came into my mind of the young boy who is double-dog dared to touch his tongue to a frozen flag pole.
