Ordered Tweed Jacket and Vest from Rocky

Well, been thinking about it for quite a while now and I finally ordered the tweed jacket and vest combo from Rocky at USAKilts. My wife had even suggested it for my Chirstmas and Birthday present! I'm already excited to get it, and if the delivery is a quick as they think it could be, seeing as how the holiday rush has past, it might be here in 4 weeks!

Another plus is that the jacket is on sale right now, do I saved about $65. Ordered the LM-Kirk581 tweed, 3 button front, Argyle cuffs. Plan to wear it mostly with my Blackwatch, but also with my New Caledonian modern kilt as well.

Not sure if someone at the shop gave that timeframe (I'm in Scotland on business until the 23rd), but 4 weeks is a bit over optimistic. The jacket tailors are typically 8 weeks or so. Don't mean to rain on your parade, but I'd rather set timeframe expectations a bit lower / more realistic.

Thanks Rocky, I'm betting on the 8 week timeframe, and will be pleasantly surprised if it arrives earlier. Definately keeping a realistic outlook on this one. Unless you can just pick it up for me while you are over there in the motherland??

They won't even have the tweed in hand from the mill before we depart for home, so it won't be possible. That's not even accounting for the fairies they'd have to hire to sew the jacket that quickly.
