Hello from Virginia

I have had my kilt for several years now but due to my crazy life had not had that many chances to wear it until I found a Scottish society here locally. I will be attending the Burns Supper this weekend and am looking forward to the great company of my fellow kilters. My issue is that I do not have a formal jacket and was wondering what would be exceptable for the evening? Look forward to the conversations with all on this site. Crag.

Would a 44R fit you? I’ll have one for you!
Failing that a vest and tie would work or even a nice sweater with tie.
I have a 42 R Harris tweed kilt jacket, you could use, too.
We are not very stuffy at our Burns Supper. We're just glad you came.

Not sure if you can help me, but I am interested in finding out about Tartans in your area. My Grandmother is originaly from Wolverhampton and her last name was Key. Any assistance or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Cheers from America.
