I was hoping to make it this year with our church but was unable to come up with the required money for the trip. So I'm also planning on attending next year and I was also thinking of going kilted. So if I make it, maybe we can meet up somewhere. It would be cool to have a buch of us. Maybe we will get some press. Got a killer t-shirt planned out for it too. Just have to get it printed up which should be no problem.

Speaking as a pipe band member, I doubt many pipe bands would participate in this sort of event, even if they were offered to be paid for it. Most pipe bands around here avoid any sort of socio-political hot buttons or endorsements - so no pipe bands for a political rally of any kind, marches for any particular cause, etc.

Individual band members are free to do as they wish, but if interviewed, don't mention the band and please don't wear the band uniform, wear your own kilt.
