Derek, I dug into some old photos and have you beat by one year. This is from 1977 and a "formal" dance I went to. Now younger folk need remember there was absolutely nothing "formal" about the '70's and I was dirt poor. I am wearing an MOD surplus kilt and the tweed jacket and vest from the only suit I owned. However the most amazing thing to me is that the very pretty girlfriend I had at the time is even more beautiful today and has been my wife for over 30 years. It must have been the power of the kilt because she was way out of my league.
