There is really nothing more that I can add! My preference would be for black flashes if you are aiming for the more formal look and, yes, off-white hose is by far the better choice over pure white.

I'm with Hamish on this. I just got a Black Stewart and I had been in a query on this also. I came to the decession that Black would be perfect also for semi-formal.

Stick with the thought that less would be more. That's the way I plan to go.
