I have never had anybody say anything that i could hear that was negitive but them again I have Full sleves of Tattoos and my left leg from knee down covered and a bright Blue bird on the left side of my neck. most people just take a second glance. Not many people are willing to "talk crap" loud enough for me to hear it. I have had mostly my wife letting me know that "that girl is checking you out"

You are correct, Graham! That is exactly what I tell myself when I feel myself getting angry.

It isn't the specific intended insult that burns me. I could care less what others think of me or what they say. I am embarrassed for them for thinking calling me a ****** or whatever does anything other than reflect poorly on them.

What bugs me is the idea that someone could feel comfortable actually denigrating another person in such a fashion.

I've also had the names hurled at me, and once a canned beverage of some sort, but always from the relative safety of a moving car. I've never had anyone stand toe to toe with me and say anything negative except in jest. I always figured it was a sign of someones on self-doubt and insecurity to hurl insults from a moving car.

I can't imagine anyone would dare insult someone of your stature face to face for any reason... unless they're on drugs or something!
