Mardi Gras Party 2013
Every year friends invite to attend the annual invitation only 'Mystery and Fantasy Mardi Gras Party' here in Houston, and we always have a good time.
Before we get to the photos, I should explain 2 points;
1: The party is Black-tie or 'theme costume' only, This year's theme was "The Land of Fairy Tales".
And 2: The event is sponsored by a primarily gay Mardi Gras Krewe.
On to the show...

Here's me with my friend Sin, my adult supervision for the evening, making a crack about my shiny head.

Here's the 'Alternative 7 Dwarves'

With my friend Neil, one of the hosts for the event.

some of the usual suspects; Shelley, Sin, Mindy, Donna

Sin and I out in the 'smoking area' with the cool kids.
Couple more to come...
Order of the Dandelion, The Houston Area Kilt Society, Bald Rabble in Kilts, Kilted Texas Rabble Rousers, The Flatcap Confederation, Kilted Playtron Group.

Mardi Gras Party 2013 part 2

My favorite costume, the White Witch with Aslan's head on a stick.

Now here's the kind of photo op everone expects! (except that's a guy ) This was the first public outing of my awesome new to me diced hose BTW...

The evenings official bling...

And the winners of the costume awards, huzzah to the White Witch

And finally, here's a shot a friend took afterwards at 59 Diner, where I totally misread the dress code!
Another great party! looking forward to next time.

Zardoz, I always open your threads as soon as they come up. Your pictures and friends make my life seem very dull and conservative. I used to be mystified but now I may be becoming jealous!

Having grown up in New Orleans back in the 60's-70's I do appreciate these photos. That is my kinda party. Thanks for sharing all the fun and frolic. It doesn't get any better than a good party. Let the good times roll...!!!!!!
