Greetings from yet another Georgian
I'm fairly new to these forums and but have been reading a lot, didn't know there was so much to know. Not originally from the Peach State, I grewup in southwestern Pennsylvania in a house that my mothers family built in the mid-late 1700's and which had been handed down from generation to generation. I was always surrounded by family stories and history, memorabilia, hand-me-downs, and other assorted "junk" we called family treasures. I was also blessed with a mother and grand parents who conducted extensive research into both the Stewart and Kerr family histories, many sound Scottish surnames along with Irish, English and a few German names in that lineage.
Dads side of the family I know little about other than it's sept to Forrester and my grandmother was from Denmark which could be an interesting connection back to Scotland.
I own one kilt, which I bought on a whim, and am working toward obtaining a more family related one and I hope to find more info here. Questions will be posted in appropriate folders and thank-you in advance for replies and responces.
