We had our 28th annual Kansas Muzzleloading Association convention this past weekend and to start it off we had a mountain man wedding and I was the best man. Since it was a come as you are wedding I decided to wear my kilt rather than my buckskins. Not all the pics are posted yet but here are a couple I have managed to find from some of the shutterbugs. I recieved alot more compliments this year from friends and strangers alike.
"Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most." Quote from the movie, "Secondhand Lion".
A very interesting and varied group of people! More pictures would definitely be nice. Regards Chas
There were a lot of Scots in the west both in the USA and Canada at this period, very fitting and nice, please more pictures!
Here are a few more pictures from the wedding as well as other parts of the convention.
I absolutely love those boots with your kilt. I almost missed them the first time I looked.
for the living history I wear those knee high Minnetonka moccasins. For camp i sometimes wear my apache moccasins if I don't feel like taking the time to lace up the knee highs, but for just running around I wear tan combat boots.
Great pictures, ks. It really looks like it is a part of their lives. Regards Chas
"first wedding"??? The title reminded me that Mrs.crash hates being introduced as my first wife. ha ha Reading further now I understand. Great pics Cowboy.
I'm just trying to be the person my dog thinks I am.
Chas it is deffinately part of all our lives. We wear these clothes for everyday activities as well as living history events. I even wore my buckskins to work last week.
