Greetings from Kalamazoo! Kalamazoo's St. Patrick's Day parade is Saturday morning....the parade in GR is Sunday. After that the Highland Games in Alma are Memorial Day weekend. Kalamazoo's Scottish Festival is in August. There's usually a Highland Games in Detroit the first weekend in August. And if you head in to southern Ontario, there are several games throughout the summer.

    Greetings Dobber,
My son occasionally wears his kilt to the Perrin Brewery just north of Comstock Park. We have often thought about getting a kilt night organized there. (In our family we have 3 kilters) If interested we'll keep you in mind the next time all 3 of us show up in nonbifrucated garments. I hope I remember to post plan here....usually on a Sat or Sun.
I echo that the Alma festival is wonderful, we haven't been to the Kzoo festival, but many of the summertime beer-ests are a great place to wear the kilt.

Welcome from just up the road in Belding, I know where Perrin Brewery is since the company I work at supplied the concrete.

Just looked at the Perrin menu....I love the description of the extra pale ale as a "gateway beer."
