Last month, when I flew from Sacramento to Seattle, the sporran was no problem. Security was more interested in my kilt buckles ("No, they don't come off. They're sewn in." response to security)than my sporran chain. Next time I fly, I will wear my Bear Kilt and eliminate the hassle.
