    Cap badge follow up.

    I finally got a Balmoral, and a badge. Thank you to all who participated in the thread, and pointed me in the right direction. As I stated in my original thread, I was looking for a cap badge that was other than clan oriented. I have been planning to use wear the Balmoral with non highland fashion. I ended up buying a green Balmoral, and a machine badge.

    Here is a couple of pics of how I intend to use the Balmoral.

    As you can see, I already have it in action.

    Again, thanks to everyone who helped with my search.

    Wow, what action indeed! How do you keep it on when you're hanging from your feet?

    Nice bonnet, whats a machine badge?

    I cant really tell from your pics is the badge over your left or right eye? the custom is to have it over the left one.
    The hielan' man he wears the kilt, even when it's snowin';
    He kens na where the wind comes frae,
    But he kens fine where its goin'.

    The badge is over the left temple area. The first pic is a mirror image, so it's backwards.

    I'm guess from some of the comments that the pics are showing upside Down. Look fine here.

    Hi Flair, yes your second picture posted in the forum upside-down. Sorry for having a little fun with it. But the bonnet looks great.

    Jordan, here is the machine badge. I'm seriously thinking about getting one myself.

    Interesting. That's quite a nifty badge. I think I'll stick with my XMTS one and my own clan how ever.

    For those who do not read Latin, the loose definition intended for "Illegitimus non carborundum" is "Don't let the bastards grind/wear you down".

    Thanks for that. My Latin is spotty (read I don't know any) but I recognise the quote.

    If you're looking for a second badge, flairball, you might check out the XMarks one. This isn't a good pic of it, but it's very fine badge and is available through the XMarks store.
