I have a work related meeting this morning and so I chose to work at home for an hour rather than going to the office. So glad I did, because the door bell rang and look what it was:


Christmas in February! I received a new pair of hose and a Heritage of Scotland tartan P/V kilt from the company by the same name. Nothing fancy, but I wanted something that was wash and wear. As you will not in the second picture, a couple of pleats need a repress, but all in all it look reasonable and is line on the inside.

Afraid that the next couple of days are going to be a little hectic, so I won't get to try it on til Thursday probably, but I thought I'd share my joy.

I really like the Heritage of Scotland folks. Very helpful and informative with fast shipping. Decent quality for the price. Great looking kilt hose btw..

Nice looking kilt! One day I hope to have a kilt with purple in it, too. And, those hose will look nice with it. Post a couple of pics of you wearing it, when you get a chance.

Thanks everyone, It is a lovely combination of colours. No for the bad news... I had the opportunity to strap it on last night and it is just a titch too big. So the Question is ... Would it look okay if I moved the straps an inch or two? Unfortunately the cost of the shipping to and fro, Canada to Scotland and back would end up being more than I paid for it. So I am now looking for creative solutions. I will try to get my wife to take a couple of pictures this evening.
