I feel your pain. My family does have Scottish roots but the kilt is not part of our family's tradition...I'm the only kiltie in ours.

Welcome from a grey beard in Toronto. There are lots of us in this forum. I figure that that gives you a buy for a modest amount of eccentricity. My two daughters, although older than yours, treat me with tolerance in many things. Your wife will most likely come around.
