    I notice you keep using the term 'worsted', but that term refers to the treatment of the wool yarns before weaving, and has nothing to do with colours. Pretty much all modern woven wool tartans are made from worsted wool.

    Looks like MacDonald of the Isles Hunting. Normally it's a green ground with blue bands, but in Weathered/Reproduction colours the green turns to brown and the blue turns to grey.

    Any blue-green tartan (Black Watch etc etc) will have that look when rendered in Reproduction/Weathered colours.

    Excellent help!! Thanks for the identification - I have seen this about in photos once or twice, and it does look nice. I love the browns!

    BTW, your signature - there is a story behind it. It is very emotive, and I really like it, but, would you elaborate on the context?

    I wear my old navy working khaki shirts with my mil spec camo kilts to good effect...does not get much earthier...I also like my modern Eisenhower jacket up top...
