Todays' interesting remark from the ignorant masses

A lad was sitting next to a lassie in the city centre when I overheard him exclaim to the lass:
"he looks better in a sk--t than you do"

it takes all types to make up this world!!

well you have to take that as a compliment.
I don't like the idea of being told i am wearing a sk!r† I have to admit in a deep place inside me that to the normal person that does not know any of the history or anything to them it is just a sk!r† with fancy pleats in the back. But i would take it as a back handed compliment

Come on Graham, don't take it too seriously. Someone else out there recognizes that you have great legs. Take it as a complement.

I'm starting to enjoy these daily updates. I'm sure he meant no harm to you Graham, but was rather making a smart *** remark to his lass.

    Skirt.
    It's spelled skirt!
Not s***t or sk#rt or anything else that gets your point across without using the word skirt.
I don't understand the need to treat the word skirt as if it is profanity we are trying to sneak by a censor!
    skirt
    skirt
    skirt
    skirt
    skirt
A kilt is a skirt the way a 1958 Corvette is just another car.

At first I was bugged by the use of the word 'skirt' to describe what I am wearing. Since, technically, a kilt IS a skirt, the useage is correct. Despite how the person using it to describe my kilt might *mean* for me to take it, and sometimes it actually is meant as a compliment, I have accepted it.

What I tend to say when confronted with the word 'skirt' is to respond along the line," While technically what I am wearing is a skirt, more specifically it happens to be a kilt." If I am tired or not in the mood to spar, I simply say, "Thanks!"

Sorry, that came across harsher than intended, I ignored the remark and kept walking, but I actually felt sorry for that lass, it was more of an insult to her.
    I really didn't take it seriously....honest!!!

Being winter and very cold recently, most of the comments are about me being cold, like "isn't it drafty?? I tell them 'yes' and it's stimulating wink wink!!

David: I'm a worried about you, I hope you're not crossing over the other side!!

Bubba....getting what? Oh you mean icecream for desert!

This leg thing puzzles me, when I wear shorts I show FAR more leg than in a kilt, yet people are so fascinated with mens legs under kilts (not referring to you David).

Wearing a kilt is a lesson in human behaviour, we should all have a degree in psychology by now!
