Road Trip to Asheville
XMarker, ThatCelticBand (Shawn Dunham) put out a call to the Kilted Horde (the fans) of Uncle Hamish and the Hooligans to participate in the shooting of a video of one their new songs that will be featured in their soon to be next album. Well, I'm a big fan of the band, it was to be done at Highland Brewing Company in Asheville, NC. A no brainer!
XMarker, Tartan Hiker (Bill Sanderson) always takes me under his wing when I go to Asheville and offered me a place to stay. Bill's son, Connell a very talented musician is the bagpiper in the band.
You knew that already, right? Anyhoo, I'm wearing a 511 Tactical kilt.
Here's a vid of their featured song "Slainte' M'Hath" from their latest album Operators are Standing By.

Hiere's a vid of their song, "The Warning" which is about the Piper Ghost at Duntrune Castle (Chief of MacCallum Malcolm).

Here's a vid of Dougie MacLean's "The Gael". Interesing enough the building that is now Highland Brewery had been a motion picture studio that had worked on the movie, "The Last of the Mohicans."

A really good show and a really good time!
John Barton, Jr. , guitarist/vocals of UHATH joins Tartan Hiker and Mael in their delight of the evening in doing "The Hamish"!

It was a great trip, Bill! Thanks for the hospitality and it was good to see Diana and your boys; Patrick, Connell and Fred.
But guess what? I learned this week, that a gal from Fairfax, VA had a rendezvous with sweetheart in Asheville and attended the concert at Highland Brewing Company for the UHATH concert, Friday. So she should have won the prize! They are planning to be a the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival in the fall at Reston, VA.
I'LL BE BACK!

Couple a years ago when we went to the Waynesville NC had some Highland Kashmir IPA, not bad at all.
Cheers and thank you for posting photos.
