My apologies, I didn't realise we had jumped back four or five pages to the AD cover pic.

Excellent! What a cool belt! I believe the late Duke of Windsor wore a similar belt (it may have been up for auction along with his complete Highland evening kit), it may even be the same one.

I should think your first port of call would be Hamilton & Inches.

I'm quite sure HRH's belt has been passed down through the generations and is bespoke. As far as the latter is concerned, you would probably have to go the same route and contact a silversmith for the buckle design and creation, and a someone who works with fine leathers and has knowledge of belt making. Off the top of my head, I would suggest contacting Ian Grant of Edinburgh or Roddy Young of Inverness for the buckle, and McRostie's of Glasgow, or our own resident sporran/belt maker, Artificer for the belt. A belt like this may run into a bit of money, but then again, most high-quality, well made items (bespoke or not) typically do!

Actually, studded belts are pretty easy to come by here in San Francisco. There are many shops that sell them for anywheres between $50 to $100. dollars. Here are 2 of mine that I wear fairly often but not with my kilts.
