Searching for a vendor for tartan scraps
I am looking for a small bit of tartan (Paisley Ancient specifically) my idea is to set it on the bias on a sporran flap and maybe install a small interior pocket for hubbies smart phone, but I would hate to buy a whole yard when I need less than a square foot. Hoping to find something on the cheep, anyone know of any vendors that may be able to help?

You can usual buy swatches of fabric, which are usually about 6 inches wide and maybe a foot long. Scotweb will sell you a swatch.

You can get a sample swatch of Paisley ancient from the Scottish Tartans Museum gift shop for $5.

Just select "Sample Swatch" instead of "Yardage" and choose the tartan you want. You can also call 1-866-898-1192.

Now, that's a deal as well as being quite convenient!

That is awesome I've been thinking about a pocket square & shoulder epaulettes. They said the samples are 5x5. I'm getting all three available Maxwell tartan options to see what looks best. Thanks so much for the info.
