2,174 miles in a Bear Kilt!
At 11:30 on 30 July I reached the summit of Katahdin in Maine, ending my 2,174.1 mile hike from Springer Mtn., Georgia, which I started on 1 March. As you may know, I hiked the entire distance in my 4-yard Bear Kilt. I haven't yet finished typing up the last few days of my adventure, or uploading the final photos, but my journal is at http://www.breecher.com.
Feel free to ask any questions. Right now I'm just a little tired.
Andrew.

Truly amazing, well done. I hope the trip will be well publicised in local papers and it gets the recognition it deserves.
Is this a first? Has it been done kilted before?

Very, very well done Andrew. Makes my West Highland Way of 96 miles look like a stroll in the park. I hope you will continue to wear your kilt, as often as you have done since March.
