Cheers Kyle , although I am already a member of the Clan Association, it is especially nice to be welcomed by the Chief.

Here's a photo I came across from the ole' (Kingussie) archives, Simon. Being a Cameron, I thought you may find it rather interesting (note the fair isle jumper too).

Cheers,

Cheers Bren.
Fantastic picture Kyle. Thanks for posting it. The Fairisle jumper is a timely post int the light of Matts recent thread. Am not convinced myself as its a fashion which has long since disappeared from our shores. Rather reminds me of Rigsby in Rising Damp. A classic comedy series from the 70's featuring the late lamented Leonard Rossiter.
Have got my eye on a rather nice Aran sweater on eBay at the moment.

I'm with yiu, Simon. When it comes to jumpers I, too, prefer the look of Arans over Fairisles.
Alas, in Southern California it so seldom gets cold enough to justify the purchase of one.

As you said Simon, there is no higher authority on the Clan than the Chief. Thanks for taking the time to sort it out. Cheers to you Sir

No problem Mike I am so pleased I got a response in person from the Lochiel. It is nice to know that even though he is The Lord Lieutenant of Inverness-shire he still would take the time out of his busy schedule to reply to a sassenach.

Well done! I am partial to the Aran style as well!
