Fun Run
Not a celtic event, but today i had an idea to make it one.
Each year our city hosts "Burnie 10" a 10km run attended by thousands of people. Runners come from all over the world to attend.
I'm not a runner, but many walk the distance, some do it even in wheelchairs, it's a family fun day for most - a serious competition for some.
One thing I am sure of, no one has done it in a kilt before. So I plan to get a group to walk the event in kilts.
What a wonderful promotion it will be for kilts!
Just goes to show, kiltwearing opens up all kinds of possibilities preveiously not considered!

Also, Dave, I'm not sure if I have welcomed you to the forum, I know you've posted a bit here already but I home you like it here.
Xmarks is the best place I know to share our common love of kilts, it's a no-nonsense place with some very friendly people here.

There's four posts before mine in this thread. Three of them are Graham's! Two of Graham's are questions to Dave W!

Anything you do will only ever be what you make of it. 8)

Hi Graham,
Yes you did welcome me to the forum some time ago. In fact if I remember it correctly we were both born in Portsmouth. I currently live in Hayling Island but actually work in Stevenage. I'm self emoployed and travel all over the place to work.
Regards
Dave W.
P.S. I usually see Hamish once or more a month.

That's right Dave, you have a good memory. Hayling Island was where my family used to go for holidays, they were big travellers

Graham, I see that your age is becoming a hinderance to your mind Good thing that Dave set you straight. Glad to hear that you are organizing a kilt walk. It seems that you are getting more than your 15 minutes of fame with your kilt wearing, way to go.
