I also keep reading on xmarks & other places that UK sizing runs small, so I'm wondering if anyone has a jacket or vest from HR & could comment on the sizing.

If I follow the directions on their website, I have a loose measurement around my chest of about 45.5", and I need the long 27" sleeves. I have a fairly athletic build, so tight around the middle isn't really a problem.

So right now, I'm planning to order the 46L jacket. The vest sizing states that a Large is 44-46", and a XL is 48-50", so I suppose that puts me in a Large vest as well. The only other vest I have at home came from Guess, and it's an XL.

I just don't want to get stuck with something that doesn't fit....wish I was closer to Edinburgh....but I have to do this from California.

Any thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated!

I do not own a tweed jacket from Hector Russell, but based upon your measurments and the sizing descriptions set forth by Hector Russell, I would order the size 46L jacket and the size large for the waistcoat. It's better to go just a wee bit bigger than smaller with the tweed jackets and waistcoats, not to mention UK sizes do run a bit on the slim side, so the sizes you have tentatively decided, just may be the ideal fit for you!

Best of luck,
