I have a couple tartan kilts from UT, and for their price they are not bad. I use mine for daily wear kilts hanging around the house and running errands and even dress up pretty good. Granted they don't match Rocky's for tailoring and quality but they fill a niche.

In the pic where you are wearing the kilt I see indentations at the 2 nd Green horizontal stripe up. Is this where the kilt is sewn around the pleats ??.I would recommend you contact the seller, it looks that his idea of basting is a tight thread line holding the pleats in.

It was indeed the basting stitch. That has been removed and this pic shows me in the kilt today.

As for being a Pakistani kilt, no matter where it is made as for this price I really like the look and feel of this. Might buy another one.

LOL Sasha!! That is my work place, THE only dedicated gluten-free store in the Portland area, Lingonberries. See you this Saturday on Tartan Day!! Not sure which kilt I shall wear though. With the weather forecast it is probably the Black Watch.

The accessories offered by UT Kilts seem pretty nice, too (again, with the qualifier--for this end of kilts and accessories--no substitute for the higher quality, but decent placeholder materials). I especially liked their brass kilt belt buckles selection before most were sold out.
