Springtime in Texas... The annual bluebonnet photo of Molly Kate
Well, it's Springtime in Texas once again, and despite the lack of rain during the Winter months, the bluebonnets (the state flower of Texas) are beginning to make an appearance again. Here's the fifth installment of our girl, Molly Kate, in the bluebonnets, snapped along the side of Hwy. 6 on the way home from Easter in the Dallas area:

A charming picture. As one who has never seen Texas Bluebonnets, other than in pictures and wearing my "agricultural hat", they look very much like a lupin of some sort, are they?
Nice to see that you are still around Bradley.

Jock:
They are indeed a variety of lupine. Here's a link to the specifics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupinus_texensis

Very nice, Shaun -- makes me miss that field of Bluebonnets behind my brother-in-law's former place in Dripping Springs all the more.
