To my way of thinking tassels on shoes just make it more difficult to clean and polish them.

This are my next pairs. Daytons are famous for being tough and lasting a very long time. (I'm going to get rid of all my other shoes, except my sandals.) The first two are called The Wanderer. They are the boots Vince Hemingson runs Marathons in. He's got a 67 mile run coming up and he'll be running it in Wanderers and a kilt!

I, like so many others, prefer the black and tall boots. Good look in the kilts. I found these on the Converse website and bought a pair for walking at Festivals and such. Not exactly traditional... but they sure get comments everywhere I go! (Yes, all the white parts come "blacked-out")
