So, needless to say, if you are going to buy this book online, do not go to the jungle!!!
As they said on Star Wars "May the force be with you'.. With this book may the source be with you.

Yup - The only people selling TAoK on Amazon are 3rd party vendors. I don't sell via Amazon. But, I am only one simple Google search away, and it isn't hard to find me. So no one ought to fall for paying that much for the 1st printing!!!

Barb, I hope you were not offended by my look-up, I just wanted to do a little research, that's all.

Absolutely no offense taken! Just amazes me that any vendor would think that someone would actually pay that much for a book that can be found easily at the regular price!

At the Amazon price it would almost be cheaper to fly over and attend one of the kilt making classes.

I joked to my wife that maybe with those prices, they came with a kilt and the book! There was one on there for almost $1,000 ...

At that price Barb might even autograph your copy if you buy from her.

I'd say that if someone really... really... *REALLY* feels compelled to pay so much for the book, they could buy a copy from Celtic Dragon Press or the Scottish Tartans Museum, and send the difference direct to Barb.

I carry 10 or 12 copies of "The Art of Kiltmaking" in my shop at all times. If you want to pay me $1000.00 for a copy I'll not only sign it but I'll dog-ear the pages and spill some coffee on it for you. You can then tell everyone who sees it how valuable it is.
No checks, cash and in small bills please.
