Gotcha. Hmmm...then I am not sure about the other series entitled, "Scotland's Clans." I've only watched it via Netflix. Pity the Macphersons aren't represented. Well, we already have our own clan DVD that was filmed back in 2006 and is very well done.
Cheers,

I am hoping that there will be a series 3 of Scotland's Clans in due course including Clan Robertson!
Paul Murton's fans will accept nothing less!

If you don't mind watching it off the web, eg on a large computer screen, there is a Clan Robertson episode narrated by Paul Murton at
http://www.tartanfootprint.com/video...ans-robertson/
It even has CC (closed captions), if you prefer.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

It would be great to get them all on DVD, but I suspect the producers are looking ahead to the demise of DVDs in favor of streaming. I'm increasingly using streaming as the technology improves and the content grows. My how the world changes!

Cheers,
Thanks Kyle, I hope to be at the Donnachie museum in a couple of weeks where I expect to learn lots! And the the video is really helpful, some really nice shots of the land. Much appreciation. David

Enjoy,
I've heard of House of Bruar and about the tea room. It sounds like a lovely place for tea and "deep pockets"! Checked the site, beautiful clothing and I can see why you like the tattersal shirts! If the weather is fine, I hope to find the trail leading to the Bruar Falls and explore them for a little while. Best, David.

I can't help you with geographic relevance/proximity, but I do own a Strathtummel kilt of Sthrathmore W60 tartan. It is beautiful. I bought it mostly for the purple/heather colors.
A good computer representation of both tartans may be seen at
http://www.bletherskite.net/2011/06/...om-strathmore/
If you click on any of the small tartan snaps, you will be shown a larger version. They all look remarkably close to the real tartan. Also, Strathmore has a five-pack of swatches of these tartans and I'm sure would be glad to send you one.
Good luck on your search and selection.
John:
It seems Mr. Mookien that you're right! It's Tummel and Tay! Thank you for your thoughts, the link and the sense of humour. I wonder if you will post a pic of the Strathtummel kilt? It would be great to see it! I have a swatch of it. And yes, it's very nice.
Thanks!

Robertsons a very old clan and a common name in Scotland ,, as they werent too affected by the clearances. My maternal Gran was a robertson from the Shetlands, a prolific name in those parts.
