    Threat Levels Raised

This just in from the BBC:

    ANNOUNCEMENT

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved."

Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

As an Englishman I think this is brilliant, it's been an age since I have heard the words miffed and peeved. Priceless and thank you for brightening up a rather dreary damp day in Blighty

I like it, but if we started with the Tartan level, we wouldn't be having the problems we have today.

Reminded of the Threat System as proposed by Ron White. He proposed a two status system. The lower status, "Go buy a helmet," is as explanatory as the elevated status, "Put your helmet on."

For those who have not heard of Ron "Tater Salad" White, he is a former Sailor who enjoys Whisky and cigars while on stage doing stand-up comedy. Unfortunately, the majority of his works are adult in nature and need not be repeated here. And he has completely stolen any market that I might have worked into.
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.
