Personally, I'd go with the turn-down collar, Argyll hose, and no fly plaid, but I'm generally of the opinion that anything but a day plaid is really more suited to the groom or white tie events where you really want to make a splash. As the father of the bride you may just be justified in wearing the plaid, but since it sounds like you'll be the only one kilted, it may be overkill.
