That is a very fine contemporary look Jamie. Nicely done sir.
In actual fact I am going to applaud Heritage of Scotland here too. They have an extensive range of tweeds which many other on line vendors do not. They only have lovat blue / green or if you are lucky you may get grey as well.
So while we may all have many differing views on Messrs Gold at least lets give them credit for their range of products at a price point which won't break the bank.
I am also pleased that Jamie finds it good quality. It's nice to have real feedback of a companies products.
Incidentally I am aware that most of our vendors on here could provide the same or similar tweeds.

I agree with both Jamie and Simon. I am a returning customer of Heritage of Scotland, for the simple reason that they supply value for money.
It is a good looking jacket/waistcoat combination. I'd wear it.
Regards
Chas

I think that is a quite a clever outfit. The overall look (except the hat) is actually very traditional in design. The colours, however, make it really contemporary and provide an interesting juxtaposition. Well done

Like Chas, I'm a repeating and, no wonder then, most satisfied customer with Heritage of Scotland. I always got a lot of value for my money, their back up/ordering system is perfect and cannot be beaten by any other manufacturer - everything goes smoothly and delivery is on sceduled time.
Right now I have a James Morrison kilt, 5 yard, 16 oz wool on order in the most ordinary of all tartans: Royal Stewart. But I like the bright colors and the cheap one I have is almost worn out. It is going to be shipped on 22 MaY. And I don't doubt, it will be.
Another good point: I don't harm anybody's feelings wearing it.
And I almost forgot: Jamie, it's a very nice jacket and waist coat.

I should note that it really isn't solid red (that is just the way it photographs). There are purple and yellow threads that run through the tweed. I really enjoyed having various options to make it my jacket (the best for me being to choose flat one piece epaulets instead of the braided sort)
The pockets are functional on both the jacket and waistcoat and deep enough to be useful.
Too bad it is going to be 95 degrees at the Sacramento Highland Games on Sunday or I would wear it to meet up with the Rabble!

Excuse the pun but in this case you might just might have struck Gold Jamie.
